After graduating with a screenwriting master’s degree, all the way back in 2012, Amber has maintained a passion for storytelling which has not faded over the years. Ever since, she has been writing in some form or another, dabbling in both fiction and non-fiction projects.
Cinema is Amber’s one true passion. Ever since stumbling across a taped copy of James Cameron’s Aliens in the family VHS cupboard back in the summer of 1997, she has been obsessed with the medium. This fixation eventually led to Amber penning a sequel screenplay to that movie eight years later. Her Alien 5 script wasn’t exactly a “masterpiece” by any stretch of the imagination, although it did cement a thrill in writing that has never left her since.
In the years following her fan-fiction xenomorph sequel, Amber has penned various script treatments and screenplays in her spare time, not to mention a number of novel manuscripts. She’s yet to attempt to publish or sell any of these, yet she still enjoys the process nonetheless.
When it comes to her short stories and non-fiction essays, however, Amber has published them in droves, all of which can be found on this very website, free of charge to read and updated on the regular!
In addition to her love of the written word, she is also a passionate podcaster. In June 2024, she started up a podcast series, Ctrl Alt Critique, with two of her long-time friends, Adam and Bailey. The 40-episode show chronicled the films and television shows which the trio both loved and loathed, making use of comedy improv and retrospective analysis.
When Amber isn’t behind a microphone or keyboard, she can be found working out at the gym, gallivanting about the British countryside, lost in a good book, expanding her physical media library, and taking trips down to her local cinema.
